The NGCOA is phenomenal! We're thrilled to be members of the NGCOA (the association for golf venue owners and operators), which has just released a treasure trove of insightful studies. I dove deep into their Golf Business Pulse Report and, as expected, found that the industry is leaning heavily on its laurels and the COVID-19 boom, squeezing every penny without much preparation for a potential downturn. Despite the nervousness in the air, prices were hiked by 8% last year with another 5% increase anticipated this year. This approach seems incredibly short-sighted.
I spent a considerable amount of time in the Operations section, where the CourseIQ story was literally laid out before us. Operators are clamoring for an integrated view of their data. They're signing up for more platforms than ever before, yet they're frustrated, feeling these platforms complicate their jobs rather than simplify them.
